On July 10, 2025, in Beijing, former Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (2016-2018) Rashid Alimov was awarded the Orchid International Prize, established by the China International Communications Group (CICG).
Becoming one of the ten laureates of 2025, R.Alimov was nominated for this award for his "outstanding contribution, inspiring leadership and continued commitment to promoting global sustainability, cultural diversity and dialogue among civilizations".
The Orchid Prize is awarded to foreign citizens and organizations that promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and contribute to strengthening inter-civilizational dialogue.
