On July 2, 2025, in Lyon (France), delegation from the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization headed by Deputy Secretary General Ahmad Saidmurodzoda participated in the second partner conference of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) entitled "Investing in a Secure World".
The event presented the results of the work of international and regional organizations in combating terrorism, drug trafficking, cross-border organized crime and cybercrime, as well as their contribution to Interpol's efforts to fulfill its mandate.
SCO Secretariat Participates in the 2nd Conference of Interpol Partners
In his speech, A.Saidmurodzoda spoke about the SCO's experience in countering security challenges and threats, the activities of specialized meetings of heads of ministries and departments, and the program documents adopted within the framework of the Organization in this area. The participants were also provided with information on the progress of the negotiation process to improve the SCO's activities, which will result in the creation of new permanent security agencies.
The conference was attended by high-level representatives of the member States of Interpol, the United Nations, ASEAN, the PGCC, the African Union and other international and regional organizations.
