On July 2, 2025, in Lyon (France), Ahmad Saidmurodzoda, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, held a meeting with Valdesy Urquiza, Secretary General of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).
Urquiza expressed gratitude to A.Saidmurodzoda for participating in the second Interpol Partners' Conference and noted the interest of the Organization's General Secretariat in establishing practical cooperation with the Secretariat the SCO in the field of security, which is part of within the competence of two executive bodies.
The SCO Deputy Secretary General informed the interlocutor about the Organization's priority areas of activity in the field of security, as well as the ongoing work on improving mechanisms to counter security challenges and threats.
An agreement has been reached to continue contacts.
