On July 2, 2025, meeting of the expert group on the preparation of the Sixth Meeting of Heads of Ministries and Departments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member States responsible for environmental Protection was held in Tianjin, China, under the chairmanship of the China in a hybrid format (July 3, 2025, Tianjin).
During the meeting, substantive and organizational aspects of the preparation of the upcoming ministerial event were discussed, including draft final documents, including a Joint Statement and an Initiative to strengthen cooperation between the SCO member states in the field of sustainable development.
Special attention was paid to the promotion of green and low-emission technologies, sustainable development, as well as practical cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
