From June 23-25, 2025, the UN Public Service Forum 2025, themed "Five Years to 2030: Accelerating Public Service Delivery for a Sustainable Future," was held in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan. The event was organized by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A representative of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization participated in the Forum and spoke at the thematic workshop "Transformative Leadership: New Thinking and Approaches to Sustainable and Forward-Looking Governance".
The SCO Secretariat representative informed that cooperation in the field of public administration within the Organization is carried out in several key areas, such as creating a regional center for cooperation in digital transformation, developing an action plan, implementing institutional innovations, implementing exchange programs for young civil servants, and conducting personnel training. Readiness for further joint work with the UN, aimed at increasing practical returns, was confirmed.
