On 16 May 2025, the regular meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of the SCO member states chaired by the Chinese side concluded at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing.
The discussions focused on the current issues on the Organization's agenda, including preparations for the meetings of the Councils of Heads of State, Heads of Government, and Foreign Ministers, the meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of the member states, as well as meetings of line ministries and agencies within the framework of the SCO this year.
Opinions were exchanged on drafts of key documents, primarily the Tianjin Declaration of the forthcoming SCO summit.
