On April 30, 2025, in Beijing, the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Nurlan Yermekbayev, met with the Deputy Secretary-General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Zhang Lin.
During the meeting, current issues of cooperation between the secretariats of the two organizations were discussed within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation, signed in May 2014 in Shanghai.
Zhang Lin informed the SCO Secretary-General about the outcomes of the consultations held the previous day in Beijing at the level of Deputy Secretaries-General between the executive bodies of the SCO and CICA.
