SCO Secretary-General Visited to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region

As part of the activities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's Political Party Forum (Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China), the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Nurlan Yermekbayev, visited Xinjiang Tianshan Wool Tex Stock, one of the top ten cashmere producers in China, and the TBEA corporation - a manufacturer of energy equipment and developer of advanced energy technologies.

In Urumqi, Nurlan Yermekbayev also learned about the activities of the Guyuan community cultural center, including cultural heritage workshops.

During the visit, the SCO member countries' delegation assessed the region's tourism potential and heard proposals for cooperation development within the framework of the SCO.
