On 15 March 2025, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Nurlan Yermekbayev visited Victory Park in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, as part of his official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. He laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to honour those who lost their lives during the Second World War.
The Secretary-General also toured the new memorial complex – the legendary IS-2 memorial tank.
It is symbolic that the visit took place in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, to which current SCO member states have made their contribution.
