Meeting between Heads of SCO and CIS Missions to Monitor the Parliamentary Election in Tajikistan

On 28 February 2025, SCO Deputy Secretary-General Piao Yangfan, the Head of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s Mission to Monitor Preparations for Holding the Parliamentary Election in Tajikistan and the Election Itself, met with Leonid Anfimov, Head of the Observers Mission from the Commonwealth of Independent States - First Deputy Secretary-General of the CIS.

The officials exchanged opinions on monitoring the electoral process and further enhancing cooperation between both associations. They agreed to maintain close contacts during the work of their missions in Tajikistan.

As usual, the conversation took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and trust.
