On 18-21 February 2025, China chaired a regular meeting of the Council of SCO National Coordinators at the SCO Secretariat in Beijing.
Attending the meeting were representatives of ten member states, the SCO Secretariat and the Executive Committee of the SCO’s Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS). SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev spoke at the opening ceremony.
The participants reviewed over 20 topical key issues of SCO activities in the political-diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. They discussed preparations for top-level and high-level SCO events, including the SCO Foreign Ministers Council Meeting, the SCO Heads of Government Council Meeting and the SCO Heads of State Council Meeting, in 2025.
SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev, national coordinators from SCO member states and the leadership of the Executive Committee of the SCO’s Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) took part in a meeting with China’s Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin on the sidelines of the event.
The Chinese side also invited delegates to visit the Museum of the Communist Party of China.
