On 27 January 2025, the Information Centre of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk) hosted a news conference attended by the heads of foreign observer missions for the presidential election of the Republic of Belarus.
SCO Mission's Participation in the Observation of the Presidential Election in the Republic of Belarus
Head of the SCO Observer Mission, SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev, made a report on the results of the work of the SCO Observer Mission. In particular, he noted the proper level of training of election commission members, the comprehensive technical equipment of polling stations, the conditions created for citizens with disabilities, and the availability of quality information and reference materials.

The Mission states that the election of the President of the Republic of Belarus were held in compliance with the requirements of the electoral legislation of the Republic of Belarus and the international commitments undertaken by the country.

Based on the results of its work, the SCO Mission recognised the election in Belarus as transparent, credible and democratic.
