SCO Secretary-General Meets with Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Relations with International Organisations to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals

On 18 January 2025, a meeting was held at the SCO Secretariat between SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Cooperation with International Organisations to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Boris Titov.

During the discussions, the parties examined the current status of SDG implementation and prospects for collaboration within the SCO framework towards their attainment. Particular attention was directed towards events slated for 2025, designated as the Year of SCO Sustainable Development by the organisation's member states.

Both parties conveyed their commitment to close cooperation, underscoring the SCO’s pivotal role as a significant platform for the advancement of the SDGs.
