Meeting with Director of SCO RATS Executive Committee

On 16 January 2025, SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev met with Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure Ularbek Sharsheyev at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in Beijing.

The parties had a wide-range discussion of various aspects of current and future cooperation between the SCO member states in countering modern challenges and threats and the collaboration between the two permanent bodies of the SCO. They also exchanged views on a comprehensive improvement of the SCO mechanisms and activities.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of warmth marked by a mutual interest in further pursuing substantive and coordinated interaction between the SCO Secretariat and the Executive Committee of the RATS.
