On 9 January 2025, in Beijing, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Nurlan Yermekbayev had a meeting with Mohamed Adnan Shaikho, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the People’s Republic of China.
The ambassador congratulated the Secretary-General on taking office and asserted Bahrain’s intention to maintain cooperation and strengthen its role as a dialogue partner of the SCO.
Nurlan Yermekbayev thanked Bahrain for supporting the Organisation’s work and assured the ambassador that the SCO Secretariat is always willing to offer assistance.
The parties exchanged opinions on developing practical cooperation within the SCO in areas of mutual interest.
