On 13 September 2024, a delegation of the SCO Secretariat took part in the China-SCO International Forum on Emergency Medicine in Beijing, organized by the China Hospital Association, the China-SCO Emergency Medical Center and Peking University People's Hospital.
The event was attended by heads of specialized agencies, emergency medical centers, representatives of the SCO Committee on Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation, as well as diplomats of the SCO family states.
In his remarks, the head of the delegation, councillor Shokhrukh Bobonov noted that today the SCO member states attache special importance to the issues of ensuring public health in accordance with the documents adopted within the SCO, as well as WHO recommendations. It was noted that within the SCO specialized cooperation mechanisms have been established, such as the Meeting of Ministers of Health and the Meeting of the Heads of Services in Charge of Ensuring Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-being.
