On 13 September 2024, SCO Secretary General Zhang Ming met with Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay.
The two Secretaries General exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation between the two organizations.
Zhang Ming informed about the results of the 2024 SCO Summit in Astana and the priorities of China's current chairmanship in the Organization in 2024-2025. He confirmed his readiness to meet with Kairat Sarybay on the sidelines of the upcoming meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) in Islamabad in October.
