On 12 September 2024 the Secretariat held the meeting between SCO Deputy Secretary General Shukhrat Sobirzoda and Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation Andrey Tsyganov.
There was an in-depth exchange of views on current level of cooperation between the SCO member states in the antimonopoly realm and prospects of its further intensification.
The sides particularly noted the importance to deepen interaction through the SCO Council of Heads of Antimonopoly authorities.
For reference: On 30 May 2024, Dushanbe hosted the first meeting of Heads of SCO Ministries and Agencies responsible for the antimonopoly policy.
On 4 July 2024 during the SCO Summit in Astana there was made a decision to establish a new mechanism of interaction in the antimonopoly policy within the SCO.
