A delegation of the SCO Secretariat led by SCO Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan arrived in Yekaterinburg to attend the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition as a partner.
Sohail Khan said in his opening remarks at the opening ceremony for the annual Summer University at the Ural Federal University named after First President of Russia Boris Yeltsin (UrFU), which was held on 8 July 2024, that stronger ties in education and science between SCO countries were a major factor of regional development. He said that they helped implement joint projects aimed at improving the socioeconomic situation and enhancing the prosperity of the member states.
The SCO Deputy Secretary General met with UrFU Rector Viktor Koksharov on the sidelines of the event to discuss strategic areas of cooperation within the framework of the SCO University and the future of their interaction.
