On 30 May, Dushanbe hosted the first meeting of Heads of SCO Ministries and Agencies responsible for the antimonopoly policy. The meeting was attended by a delegation of the SCO Secretariat led by SCO Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan.
Heads of the delegations exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including the prospects of developing cooperation in the antimonopoly area within the Organisation.

In his address, Sohail Khan noted that the work intended to strengthen further interaction between the parties in the antimonopoly policy is to promote a just economic development of the member states and improve living conditions for the population of the SCO region in general.
During the meeting the parties supported the initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan on establishing a new mechanism of interaction in the antimonopoly policy within the SCO.
