SCO Deputy Secretary-General Grigory Logvinov took part in the high-level international conference, Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a Transforming World, that took place on 26-27 October in Minsk. The conference participants had a detailed exchange of opinions on the current geopolitical situation in the Eurasian space and the prospects of its evolution.
Grigory Logvinov delivered a report, The Place and Role of the SCO in the Context of Global Transformation. He also had contacts with the former SCO Secretary-General, State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev and Executive Director of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay and answered media questions on the sideline of the conference.
The conference, organised in a hybrid format by the Government of the Republic of Belarus as part of the country’s chairmanship in the CSTO, brought together 120 delegates, including the foreign ministers of some SCO member states, leaders of executive bodies of the CIS, CICA, CSTO, Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as foreign deputies and representatives of political, expert, academic and analytical circles from 30 countries.
