On 5 September 2023, SCO Deputy Secretary-General Shukhrat Sobirzoda met with Terhi Hakala, the EU Special Representative for Central Asia, at the SCO Secretariat.
Shukhrat Sobirzoda briefed Ms Hakala on the SCO’s activities, the structure of its permanent bodies and main areas of cooperation within the Organisation.
They exchanged opinions on the work of the SCO collaboration mechanisms, the development of the Organisation’s international ties, the SCO expansion process, and the situation in Afghanistan.
