Press release following the 7th Eastern Economic Forum session “Economic Wars as a Weapon for the Suppression of Sovereignty”

On 6 September, SCO Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan spoke at the session "Economic Wars as a Weapon for the Suppression of Sovereignty" at the 7th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

The panel was attended by representatives of academia, government agencies and international organisations.

The SCO member states reaffirmed their intention to continue cooperation in the name of ensuring peace, security and stability, jointly counter new challenges and threats, and strengthen trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations in the SCO region despite the unprecedented global economic challenges and the escalation of geopolitical contradictions and regional conflicts.
