On 6 July 2021, SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov had a meeting with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov.
They discussed the current state and prospects of the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the SCO as well as the further development of the Organisation's activities.
Vladimir Norov and Abdulaziz Kamilov exchanged views on the agenda and preparations for the upcoming meetings of the SCO Heads of State Council and the SCO Foreign Ministers Council that will be chaired by Tajikistan.
The Secretary-General and the Foreign Minister specifically focused on the SCO delegation's participation in the international conference, Central and South Asia: Regional Interconnectedness. Challenges and Opportunities, which is to be held on 15-16 July 2021 in Tashkent.
The meeting also covered several international and regional issues.
