SCO experts hold regular meetings on precursor trafficking control and ways to reduce demand for narcotic drugs

On 10-11 March 2021, Tajikistan chaired a series of videoconferences of SCO expert working groups on precursors and the reduction of demand for drugs as part of the Conference of the heads of the SCO member states' agencies responsible for combating illicit drug trafficking.

The participants had a meaningful exchange of views and experience in implementing effective measures at the national level and noted that there is a need for further consolidation of joint efforts and promotion of cooperation on the anti-drug track.

The parties also discussed the draft new Action Plan on the implementation of the Programme of Action for the SCO Anti-Drug Strategy for 2018-2023.The corresponding protocols were signed following the meetings.
