On 14 May 2018, SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to People's Republic of China Abdulkadir Emin Onen had a meeting in the SCO Secretariat in Beijing.
The officials exchanged opinions on current cooperation between the SCO and Turkey as a dialogue partner, and its further development.
The Turkish Ambassador praised the SCO's professional and responsible position as an international observer together with the importance of its participation at the extraordinary elections of the president and the parliament of Turkey, which are scheduled for 24 June 2018.
Responding to a request from Abdulkadir Emin Onen, Rashid Alimov updated him on the organisation's performance as well as the key areas of multilateral and multifaceted interaction within the SCO.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
