On 1 November, the SCO Ambassadors Club kicked off its visiting session in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. Participants include diplomats from the SCO Family and the SCO Secretary-General. The packed three-day agenda includes official meetings with the heads of the Hong Kong Administration, business circles, and the academic and expert community.
Members of the SCO Ambassadors Club are invited to take part in a large-scale business forum on development and innovations in the context of implementing the Belt and Road Initiative and consolidating multilateral international cooperation in the Eurasian space.
During the visiting session, SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov will meet with students, teachers and professors of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The programme of the visit also includes cultural events aimed at further promoting humanitarian ties between Eurasian nations.
The SCO Ambassadors Club is an informal platform uniting the heads of diplomatic missions from the SCO Family countries. The purpose of this format, which has been active since 2014, is to strengthen and advance multilateral dialogue between the SCO member states and to seek new ways of promoting multifaceted cooperation within the SCO.
