SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman on the sidelines of the Sixth Moscow Conference on International Security.
The officials discussed SCO's cooperation with the UN and specialised UN agencies and its further development. They also exchanged opinions on ways to deepen their cooperation in various areas.
The parties have agreed to hold a more detailed discussion of their practical cooperation within the framework of the SCO Summit in Astana on 8-9 June 2017.
A delegation of the SCO Secretariat led by SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov is attending the Sixth Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS), which is being held on 26-27 April 2017. The conference is a respected annual event sponsored by the Russian Defence Ministry to promote international military cooperation and discuss joint forms of dealing with new challenges and threats.
