On March 6, 2026, a delegation of the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization headed by Deputy Secretary General T.R. Midhun visited the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China in Beijing, China. SCO DSG held a conversation with Chang Junhong, Director General of the Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation of the Ministry of Finance of China.
The parties discussed issues of trade, economic, financial and investment cooperation within the SCO including the first consultative meeting at the level of deputy ministers on the establishment of the SCO Development Bank scheduled for the near future.
The parties confirmed mutual interest in further deepening ties between the Ministry of Finance of China and the SCO Secretariat.
