On 2 March 2025, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Observer Mission headed by the SCO Deputy Secretary-General Piao Yangfan and comprising 18 representatives from seven SCO member states (the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan) and the SCO Secretariat visited 116 polling stations located in the cities of Dushanbe, Hissar, Nurek and Tursunzade, as well as in the districts of republican subordination.

In the course of observation, representatives of the SCO Mission held discussions with chairpersons and members of local election commissions, national and international observers, and citizens who came to the polling stations.
