Meeting of Permanent Representatives of SCO Member States

On 23 January 2025, the SCO Secretariat, chaired by China, held a regular meeting of the permanent representatives of the SCO member states.

The participants had an intensive discussion focused on specific issues pertaining to the cooperation between the member states, including improvements in the operation of several SCO bodies, and development of relations with the observer states and dialogue partners.

They specifically addressed the substantive details of China’s SCO presidency programme, including in the context of top-level and high-level events scheduled for 2025. The parties also exchanged opinions on the current SCO issues.

As always, the meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
