Council of National Coordinators of SCO Member States holds its regular meeting

On 26-29 August 2024, Qingdao hosted the first meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of SCO Member States (CNC) under Chinese chairmanship.

The event was attended by national coordinators of 10 member states and representatives of the SCO Secretariat and Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure.

The meeting reviewed the programme of the PRC presidency for 2024-2025 and discussed a wide range of issues related to the implementation of decisions of the SCO Heads of State Council, preparations for the next meeting of the Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) Council of the SCO member states and other official events aimed at intensifying practical cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The participants also paid special attention to improving SCO activities and its interaction with the observer states, SCO dialogue partners and other international organisations.

Upon conclusion of the sessions, the delegations visited the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area.
