On 6 February 2023, the 2nd SCO Young Scientists Conclave, organised by the Government of the Republic of India’s Department of Science and Technology, with the support of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, opened in Bangalore, the Republic of India.
SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming sent a videotaped address to the participants.
Panel sections include:
- agriculture and the food industry;
- environmental protection and the frugal use of natural resources;
- studying the potential and use of artificial intelligence and big data;
- sustainable energy generation and storage;
- the biology of diseases and healthcare.
India initiated the SCO Young Scientists Conclave (Competition) with the aim of generating opportunities for promoting scientific projects by young researchers from SCO member states and creating mutual ties. The 1st SCO Young Scientists Conclave was held online on 24-26 November 2020.
