On August 16, 2022, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Zhang Ming delivered an address to the participants of the 10th Moscow Conference on International Security. He noted that over the past 10 years, the Conference has emerged as a respected and high-status platform for an open dialogue between defence ministries, other concerned agencies and representatives of military-political think tanks. The exchange of views and information at the conference makes an important contribution to the fight against international terrorism, the settlement of regional conflicts, ensuring the national security of the participating States and the implementation of peacekeeping missions.
The conference included four plenary sessions, where discussion focused on maintaining global and regional stability, as well as various aspects of ensuring security in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe.
The event was attended by more than 700 participants from over 30 countries, including defence ministers, chiefs of general staff, experts from international organisations and academia.
