Consultations between representatives of foreign ministries of SCO member states on legal matters of SCO activities

On 18-19 January 2022, the Uzbek party chaired consultations between representatives of the foreign ministries of SCO member-states on legal matters of SCO activities, held at the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure in Tashkent.

During the consultations, the parties exchanged information on the implementation of essential intra-state procedures for enacting the SCO's international treaties, as well as on the authorised agencies of SCO member-states in charge of implementing them. They reviewed draft documents regulating the provision of SCO observer status, interaction with observers, and the termination of certain decisions of SCO agencies, passed in 2013-2020. They also exchanged opinions regarding the creation of an online SCO legal database on the SCO Secretariat's website.

The meeting took place in a traditionally friendly atmosphere.
