The SCO Secretary General expressed his condolences to the Member of the State Council, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in connection with the flood in the city of Zhengzhou

Expressing his deep condolences the Secretary General wrote:

"Dear Mr. Wang Yi,

On behalf of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Secretariat and on my own behalf, I would like to offer deep condolences to you and the people of Henan Province over the tragic consequences of the flood that occurred in the city of Zhengzhou in Henan Province and claimed the lives of 33 people.

I ask you to express my sincere sympathy to the families and loved ones of the victims. We wish the victims a speedy recovery, and the province a successful liquidation of the consequences of the disaster, the restoration of the destroyed infrastructure and housing stock.
