On 12-13 October 2020, the Joint Commission on International Road Transport Facilitation held a second meeting via videoconference. The event was chaired by Deputy Transport Minister of Russia Alexei Semyonov.

The participants discussed the current state and operational readiness of the approved international road routes, the printing and use of international road transportation permits, the development of the existing and the choice of new routes and checkpoints, as well as possible joint investment projects in transport.

The Joint Commission on International Road Transport Facilitation includes representatives of the competent agencies of the SCO member states and is designed to coordinate the consistent implementation of the Agreement. The constituent meeting of the Joint Commission was held in Beijing in May 2017.
