SCO Secretary-General receives SCO Press Club President

On 18 January 2019, SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov received SCO Press Club President Andrei Kirillov, Head of the TASS Bureau in China.

The officials exchanged views on information support for the SCO activities and on how to provide an impetus to the SCO Press Club's work to promote the organisation's positive image.

The officials reached an agreement on holding a Press Club meeting shortly and inviting representatives of a wide range of news agencies in the SCO family countries and representatives of the media accredited in China to attend it.

The SCO Press Club was established on 24 May 2013 in Beijing at the SCO Secretariat. It brings together over 20 representatives of news agencies in the SCO family countries that are accredited in China. Andrei Kirillov, Head of the TASS Bureau in Beijing, is President of the SCO Press Club.
