SCO Secretary-General expresses condolences over natural disasters in India

SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov sent a message to the Indian Ambassador to China Gautam Bambawale, in which he expressed his deepest condolences in regard to the natural disaster in the north of India.

The message reads, in particular:

"We were shocked by the tragic news that almost 100 people died and dozens were injured in a powerful dust storm that struck northern India on Wednesday evening.

"The SCO Secretariat expresses its deepest condolences to the people and the government of the Republic of India and the regional authorities of the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan over the natural disasters. Please convey our deepest sympathy to the bereaved families, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured."
