The meeting of the SCO Council of National Coordinators

Today, June 5 2017 in the second part of the day the final meeting of the SCO Council of National Coordinators, chaired by Kazakhstan National Coordinator Aydar Abishev, opened in Astana.

The agenda of the meeting, which runs through June 7, includes over 20 issues related to the preparation for the year's main event — the SCO Heads of State Council Meeting due to take place on June 8-9 2017 in the capital city of Kazakhstan.

At the SCO Council of National Coordinators meeting, the plenipotentiary representatives of SCO Member States will address issues on how to further the progressive development of cooperation of SCO Member States, Observer States, and partners in SCO's dialogues concerning political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in other areas. The agenda's final stage will include an exchange of opinions on the draft Astana Declaration of the SCO Heads of State. The participants will also compare notes on the Heads of States' draft decisions.

The Council of National Coordinators (CNC) coordinates SCO activities and cooperation between relevant ministries and agencies of the SCO Member States.
