SCO Secretary-General meets Presidential Aide and Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On 6 April 2017, SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov met in Astana with Presidential Aide and Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vladimir Zhumakanov.

The parties discussed the entire range of issues related to the preparations for the 12th Meeting of the SCO National Security Council Secretaries and the meeting of the SCO Heads of State in Astana, the main SCO event this year.

The Meeting of the National Security Council Secretaries is the first important event ahead of the upcoming Summit of the SCO Heads of State scheduled for 8-9 June 2017 in Astana.

The SCO Secretary-General praised the high level of planning of the event and thanked Kazakhstan, current chair of the organization, for their traditional hospitality and wonderful working conditions.

The SCO Secretary-General arrived on a visit to Kazakhstan on 4 April 2017 to attend a regular Meeting of the SCO National Security Council Secretaries.
