SCO Secretary General meets with OSCE Secretary General on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference

SCO Secretary General meets with OSCE Secretary General

On 17 February 2017, SCO Secretary General Rashid Alimov had a meeting in Munich with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier at the initiative of the European side.

The parties discussed security in the Euro-Asian space and exchanged views on the key issues of the regional and global agenda.

The meeting took place as part of the SCO Secretariat's participation in the Munich Security Conference.

The Munich non-government independent conference was established in 1963 as "an international meeting of defence experts" of the NATO member-states for considering the most important security issues. Currently it is an international discussion forum and no documents are adopted upon its completion. At the same time, world level politicians and diplomats deem the conference an important venue for meetings and topical discussions on current-day problems.
