The SCO Council of National Coordinators

Today, on 17 February 2017, the four-day Kazakhstan-chaired meeting of the Council of National Coordinators (CNC) of the SCO member states has completed its work at the SCO HQ in Beijing.

The national coordinators held a detailed discussion of issues related to preparations for the main 2017 events: the meetings of the SCO Heads of State Council and the SCO Foreign Ministers Council and the Meeting of Security Council Secretaries, all scheduled for Astana, and a number of other important events.

The meeting participants considered and approved the Action Plan for 2017, which provides for over 60 SCO events to be held in the SCO member states. The year will see meetings of a number of ministries and agencies, the SCO Forum attended by members of the academic community and international experts, and meetings of the SCO Business Council and the SCO Interbank Consortium. In late 2017, Russia will chair a meeting of the SCO Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) Council.

The CNC coordinates SCO activities and cooperation between relevant ministries and agencies of the SCO member states.
