The SCO Council of National Coordinators meets in Beijing to discuss SCO’s plans for 2017

The Council of National Coordinators of SCO Member States has convened for a meeting at the Beijing headquarters on 14 February 2017.

The regular CNC meeting is chaired by the national coordinator of the Republic of Kazakhstan and will last until 17 February 2017.

The meeting's agenda includes over 20 issues related to the main SCO event this year — the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting, as well as several other SCO events within the framework of Kazakhstan's Presidency of the Organisation in 2016-2017. The national coordinators will also discuss an Action Plan for 2017.

The national coordinators will also analyse the results of the consultations on current issues of regional security and the strengthening of economic and cultural cooperation held between the SCO member states' deputy foreign ministers in Moscow on 20 January 2017.

The national coordinators will review the work of the SCO Observer Mission at the presidential election held in Turkmenistan on 12 February 2017.

The CNC coordinates the SCO's current activities and interaction between the SCO ministries and agencies.

The Republic of Kazakhstan holds the rotating presidency of the SCO in 2016-2017.
