On 26 February 2024, regular interdepartmental consultations on establishing an SCO Anti-Drug Centre in Dushanbe as a separate permanent body were held at the SCO Secretariat under Tajikistan’s chairmanship.
The consultations included experts from the SCO’s relevant ministries and agencies, as well as representatives from the secretariat. A protocol was signed following the meeting.
A separate discussion was held on the sidelines of the meeting between SCO Deputy Secretary-General Nuran Niyazaliyev and Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan Sharipov, during which they brought up topical issues around the SCO’s current activities.
