On 27 September 2023, Beijing hosted a meeting of top officials from executive agencies of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the Collective Security Treaty Organisation and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Attending the meeting were SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming, CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov and Deputy CIS Secretary General Ilkhom Nematov.
The meeting participants exchanged opinions on topical international and regional issues and discussed the state of cooperation between the three organisations and its development prospects.
The heads of delegations reaffirmed their intention to continue maintaining and deepening their relations and partnership.
In November 2022, a trilateral meeting was held in Moscow at the initiative of the CSTO.
