On 31 August 2023, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shakhrat Nuryshev at the SCO Secretariat.
The Ambassador informed the SCO Secretary-General of preparations for the high priority events being planned for Kazakhstan’s SCO chairmanship, including those in the Joint Plan of the SCO Secretariat, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Beijing and China’s SCO Neighbourly Friendship and Cooperation Committee.
The SCO Secretary-General reaffirmed the Secretariat’s readiness to closely cooperate with the diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan to implement the agenda of the Kazakhstani chairmanship, including the above-mentioned plan, as well as the initiatives and agreements of the heads of state reached at the SCO Heads of State Council Meeting in New Delhi on 4 July 2023.
