On 30 June, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming met with the Foreign Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka Mohamed Ali Sabry at the SCO Secretariat.
The SCO Secretary-General informed his counterpart about the Organisation’s activities, development prospects and forthcoming events.
The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister stressed the importance of strengthening ties with the SCO and its role in the international arena, expressed an interest in raising Sri Lanka’s status in the Organisation and declared his country’s readiness to maintain close contacts with the SCO Secretariat.
The officials reaffirmed their commitment to further cooperation.
