On 23 May 2023, SCO Deputy Secretary-General Janesh Kain had a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Waleed Al-Khuraiji.
Janesh Kain briefed his colleague on the SCO’s structure, priority areas of SCO cooperation and the SCO expansion process.
Waleed Al-Khuraiji praised the SCO’s activities and noted the readiness of Saudi Arabia to take an active part in implementing various joint projects. He emphasised the readiness of Riyadh to raise the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the SCO in the future.
