On 2 March 2023, SCO Secretary-General Zhang Ming had a meeting with Russia’s National SCO Coordinator and Special Presidential Representative for SCO Affairs Bakhtiyor Khakimov, who arrived in the People’s Republic of China for bilateral consultations with the Chinese side.
During their lengthy conversation, the parties discussed various aspects of SCO activities in great detail and focused on SCO modernisation concepts in keeping with a decision by the SCO Heads of State Council, adopted at the Council’s September 2022 meeting in Samarkand, the Republic of Uzbekistan.
